Links to Craig's "Adults Only" Stories
These are stories that contain material that I don't feel is appropriate for kids to read and are "not safe for work". Because of that, I did not post them to my site (since I can't control access), but to a site called Literotica.com, which specializes in erotic literature. Here are the links:
"After Hamlet"
I suppose every husband has that scenario where he pulls off a "perfect date" - like surprising her with flowers, dinner at a nice restaurant, and a "surprise" of some sort for an evening's entertainment - and walks away feeling particularly pleased with himself. This is a story about what happens after one of those surprise dates.

"Enyu"
I think this is the first story in this genre that I ever wrote and shared with others. I wrote it at a time that I was particularly unhappy with my job, but I was really good at it and need to find reasons to keep doing it. Enyu finds herself in basically the same situation. I suppose most people will, at some point. You do what you've got to do to make the ends meet, right?

"Old Nightshirt"
I think most people reading this story will probably be pretty offended right up until the end. And that's exactly what I was going for! So, mission accomplished, even if I get funny looks from my friends and family for a while.

Why I write work like this
I have had a long struggle owning up to the fact that I like writing these stories. I've had my own prejudices against such work as not being "real writing" or "legitimate literature". That changed when I started work towards attaining my Masters. The faculty asked every student, "What do you like to write?" When it came my turn to answer the question, I got all embarrassed but forced myself to answer something like, "Horror and Erotica, but I know that's not real writing." From the first time they asked that question to the end of the program, they would not allow me to go on with the notion that such writing is not legitimate. It requires just as much work, planning, effort, and artistry as any other kind of writing. Sure, it's easy to do poorly, but that can be said about most things. I have to admit that, even now, I'm a bit reserved in posting these stories. I feel a bit like I'm coming out of the closet to my family in that I'm expecting my loved ones to voice embarrassment, shock, and disapproval at my "choice" of genres and say that I'm wasting talents God gave me on work decidedly "unholy". But, just like coming out, I have to own up to what I am. My skill, experience, preference, and pleasure guide me to this kind of writing. As I'm still trying to find my voice, I'm not rejecting any avenue of exploration. As for me and God, well, as the song says, "Please be patient with me. God is not through with me yet." Talk to me in a year and I may have burned all these stories and be at work full bore on a brand new gospel. In the meantime, I'll do what I'm led to do. I'm led to write what I enjoy. And this is it. I hope you enjoy it, too.
